This past week has been a very eventful one for the Casey Clan! We had our first trip to the ER with Baby L and it was interesting to say the least (see my recap here). To lighten things up, we decided to do our annual holiday footprint craft. This craft just needs some red card stock paper, white, orange, green paint and a black or green sharpie.
I made 5 this year; one for us and 4 to give out to family as gifts. We do so many hand and footprint crafts with Baby L that last year I decided to invest in some foam paint brushes (instead of finger painting the paint onto Baby L’s foot).
We put a nice layer of white paint onto Baby L’s foot and pressed his foot (heel first) into the paper. As I say in all of my footprint posts, this is much easier as a two person job 🙂 Let the paint dry overnight and then you can go back over and draw your earmuffs, face and arms.
If I did this one again, I might put the footprints closer together or maybe at an angle. I also would have used a thicker marker for the “Let it Snow” title or pre-printed the sheets. Be sure to write your little one’s name and the year at the bottom!!!!
