Being a first time parent is such an exciting time! It is also confusing, stressful, and overwhelming. I am an avid planner, researcher, and organizer; but the first time my husband and I went into a baby store, I was so overwhelmed I had to sit down in the rocker section to calm down. There were so many sections in that store! What did I actually need for my baby?
3 Activities To Do at Home with your 12-18 Month Old
Before I was a stay at home mom full time, I always wondered, “What the heck do moms do with their kids for 10-12 hours each day?!” So I started scouring Pinterest for some fun activities that I can do with my toddler and came up with these three of my own:
10 Things I Did to Save Money Last Month (July 2018)
As many of you know, I started working part time back in January and in July I quit my job to stay home with my precious little one. Now transitioning from 2 incomes to 1 has been tricky but I wanted to share with you a few of the things that we did to trim costs last month:
Must Have Feeding Essentials for Baby
Once your precious little one gets close to 6 months in age or so, they may be exhibiting signs of being ready to incorporate some solids into their diet. Such a fun time! They may start acting interested in what Mommy and Daddy are eating, can sit up by themselves and might still seem hungry after a bottle; all signs that they are ready for solid food! I could tell Baby L was ready around 5 1/2 months old.
Perfect Gifts for a 1 Year Old
Your little one is about to turn one and you are probably planning a party and possibly getting some pictures done; then you remember that you need to buy a present also! Don’t stress about it too much (like I did), your little one is probably not going to care one way or another. Just make sure you wrap it with extra tissue paper (that’s the real gift to them)!
How to Clean Your Washing Machine
Isn’t it funny that we have to clean appliances that clean? Isn’t that it’s job!? 😛 I always think about that whenever I am doing tasks such as these! I used to buy these Tide washing machine packets, but then I decided that I wanted to take a more natural approach and started using this technique.
Planning a Birthday Party for your 1 Year Old
Your little one is about to turn 1! If you’re anything like me, you are probably thinking, “How did this happen, he was just born a few week ago?!” That’s how I feel anyway. We just celebrated Baby L’s first birthday and it was a roller coaster of emotions. I still can’t believe it! Have I said that already? Hopefully this post can help you to get yourself more organized for this very special day!
Hand Print Thank You Cards from Baby
Baby L’s birthday is right around the corner and part of the prep is to make sure that I’ve got thank you cards ready to go. I really wanted to do special thank you cards for Baby Boy’s first birthday and since he can’t write yet I decided to have him “sign” his cards with a hand print! Y’all know how much I love hand and foot print crafts, so this one was a no-brainer!
What Should I Pack in my Pumping Bag?
Like so many of you mamas out there, I had to return to work after I had my son, but I also wanted to continue to provide breast milk for him as well. That meant mastering the art of using a breast pump, figuring out what I needed to transport from work to home every day, and not spilling any milk in the process 🙂 Every mommy is different and you will have to figure out which items fit your situation best, but this list will get you started.
How to Prep and Clean a Plastic Shower Curtain
How is everyone doing this week? We have had some cold and rainy weather and have actually had to turn the heater on (We’re in Texas, so it doesn’t get turned on too often…). That’s fine by me because there is nothing I love more than sweatpants and a cup of hot tea or coffee!
