This past week has been a very eventful one for the Casey Clan! We had our first trip to the ER with Baby L and it was interesting to say the least. To lighten things up, we decided to do our annual holiday footprint craft.
Isn't it funny that we have to clean appliances that clean? Isn't that it's job!? š I always think about that whenever I am doing tasks such as these!
Your little one is about to turn 1! If you're anything like me, you are probably thinking, "How did this happen, he was just born a few week ago?!" That's how I feel anyway. We just celebrated Baby L's first birthday and it was a roller coaster of emotions. I still can't believe it! Have I said that already? Hopefully this post can help you to get yourself more organized for this very special day!
Baby L's birthday is right around the corner and part of the prep is to make sure that I've got thank you cards ready to go. I really wanted to do special thank you cards for Baby Boy's first birthday and since he can't write yet I decided to have him "sign" his cards with a hand print! Y'all know how much I love hand and foot print crafts, so this one was a no-brainer!
In the midst of all this cleaning and organizing, I noticed that our shower curtain was getting kind of dingy. I've already cleaned it a handful of times over the years, so I decided that it was time to get a new one.
This week the Casey Clan decided to do another footprint craft. This little memory just needs some cardstock paper, green paint and a red sharpie.
As most of you know, when you move from a rental, it's like pulling teeth trying to get some (if any!) of that deposit back, so I have been going through the house trying to get things squeaky clean, and one of my favorite (easy) household recipes is my homemade dishwasher cleaner. You can buy tablets and such on Amazon but I love to save money (who doesn't) and I also love to use natural ingredients/products whenever possible.
I don't know how it happens every shopping trip, but somehow I always end up with a bunch of tired, uneaten bananas. Am I the only one? I love bananas, Baby L loves bananas, but somehow there are always more than we can eat. Solution? Avocado Banana Puree!!!!
This week I was trying to hurry up and make something quick while Baby L was finishing up some leftover vegetable medley with daddy. I had some strawberries, a banana, and yogurt on hand. What does that mean? You guessed it! Strawberry Banana Yogurt (yes I came up with that title all by myself)!

Homemade baby food can last for up to 3 months in the freezer but it's best to try and use within a month. Let thaw in the fridge overnight before serving.
This week's post is about hand soap. I don't know about the rest of you but my little household of three, plus Bailey:) goes through a TON of hand soap! Over the years we have tried both kinds; foaming and liquid but I much prefer foaming. I feel like you have to use more liquid to get your hands clean and it takes longer to rinse off. Busy mommies don't have time to rinse off their hands for an extra 30 seconds! We've got stuff to do!
